Group Therapy
Group therapy is an alternative, effective treatment for a wide range mental health conditions including depression and anxiety that includes working with others with similar challenges.
Group work is extremely rewarding. Regularly talking and listening to others also helps to put your own problems in perspective. Seeing other people tackle problems and make positive changes, can teach a full range of strategies for facing your own concerns.
Groups can act as an important support network and a sounding board to propel you forwards quicker and often with better outcomes than individual therapy alone. Members of the group often help you come up with specific ideas for improving a difficult situation or life challenge, and hold you accountable along the way. Regularly talking and listening to others also helps you put your own problems in perspective.
